Letter of Condolence

It is with the greatest sorrow that we received the notice of the death of Professor France Bučar, the founder and long-time President of the Slovenian Pan-European Movement and one of the most prominent members of the International Pan-European Union.

Professor France Bučar was a great Slovenian patriot and an original humanist thinker who enriched us many times with his ideas and political experience. He certainly laid firm foundations to the Slovenian Pan-European Movement and gave it great respectability which is luckily duly acknowledged in Slovenia. We shall always remember the contributions of Professor France Bučar to the presentation of the Slovenian case in the Pan-European Movement and in the European Union. His role in the period of struggle for the independence and international recognition of the new democratic Slovenia will never be forgotten. They were an essential contribution to the efforts of the International Pan-European movement in the same direction.

Please, accept our sincere condolences because of the loss of the great Slovenian Pan-European Professor France Bučar and kindly transmit them to his respected family.

On behalf of the International Pan-European Union
