One step to candidate status
The Pan-European Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina held international conference titled "Bosnia and Herzegovina: One Step to Candidate Status – Can We Speed Up the Process?" in Bihać, on 19-21 May 2017.
130 participants from all over Europe gathered at the Pan-European conference in the city of Bihać. Bihać is the city in the northwest of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a rich historical heritage.
Among the speakers at the conference were Vanja Gavran, President of the Paneuropean Union of BiH; Alain Terrenoire, President of the International Paneuropean Union; Milan Dunović, Vice President of FB&H; Nikola Lovrinović, Chairman of the Joint Commission for European Integration of the PA B&H; Husein Rošić, Prime Minister of the Una-Sana Canton, Davor Župa, chairman of the City Council of Bihać; Pavo Barišić, Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia; Josip Brkić, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of B&H; Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, Head of the EU Delegation to BiH; Karl von Habsburg, Vice-President of the International Paneuropean Union; Tonino Picula and Julie Ward, MEPs in the European Parliament and many others.
The conference was held under the patronage of the Government of the Una-Sana Canton and the City of Bihać, the main partner was the Konrad Adenauer Foundation - Representation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and partners were also Robert Schuman Foundation, HKD Napredak and Vice Presidents of FB&H, Melika Mahmutbegović and Milan Dunović.
The conference has been completed by adopting the joint declaration.
